Creative Escape 2018 will be September 28 and 29th.
Having said that, I will hopefully confirm those dates within a couple of weeks. Many of you may know me…..I hate to make a promise if I don’t know 100% sure I can keep it. Well, this is kinda one of those times…..but here’s my plan for 2018.
Some of you know I’ve been waiting on my hubby to get his vacation bid for 2018. It’s our 30th year anniversary in June and we want to take a little more time than the normal 1-2 days to celebrate. It has been decided we will try to go the first part of May to Yosemite and Sequoia National Park. (I’ve always wanted to see those big trees!)
So….Scott will hold a 3 day art workshop the 3rd week in September and the Creative Escape will be the last weekend. I plan to check with the church we met at last year to see if we will be able to use their facility again.
I will start taking reservations for CE 2018 starting NOW. Reservation will be $50 and I plan for the cost to be $175 plus a bundle of stamps/framelits. This is assuming Stampin’ Up does not go up on any prices.
This year, I plan to try something a little different…..you will have one seat mate. And only be sharing your stamp/framelit bundle with that seat mate. I plan to choose one stamp bundle that is Christmas and one bundle that is nonChristmas. From each bundle, I plan to make 5 styles of cards. You will still have the option of making 4 of each for a total of 40 cards or 2 of each for a total of 20 cards plus a scrapbook.
Creative Escape is special…and the cards I want to be “over the top” but this year, I plan to make some of them sweet and simple for you.
In addition, I want to do something I’ve not done in the past……in the effort of getting Christmas cards made……there will be 4 months of making Christmas cards at my home! July, August, October, and November, the last Saturday of every month (Nov. will be on Dec. 1st) will have a whole day Christmas Stamp camp. I encourage you to put this on your calendar now and plan to accomplish making and sending all your friends a HAND MADE CHRISTMAS CARD THEY WILL REMEMBER! FROM YOU!
More specifics on the Christmas stamp camps…..
- Cost will be $5. for food for the day – I’ll fix and you can graze and stamp all day 🙂
- $20 cost for 10 cards – ideally I will try to make 5 styles from 1 stamp set and you make 2 of each or if you make 20 cards, then 4 of each
- also a cost of $10 for the use of the stamp set….this will be waved if you want to purchase the extra set(s) at the end of the day for 50% off the original price. Hopefully this will help to have more stamps to use for the day and if you really like the set, you can purchase at a discount.
