Petal Passion Memories & More cards

Hope you have a few minutes to spend with me today!  There is a lot packed into todays post!

  • Petal Passion Memories & More Cards
  • Stamparatus Tips
  • April Bring a Friend Month
  • Stamping Schedule

Stamping with my Mom today centered around the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack today.  Mom had gotten the set a couple of months ago, and just the past week has been coloring in the card pack with colored pencils. She has really enjoyed this new way of making cards – by coloring the lined images with Watercolor Pencils……it all started with the Lots of Happy Card Kit #146388 on page 15 in the Occasions Catalog  This kit comes with 2 exclusive colors of Watercolor Pencils…..Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist!  I showed pictures last week of some of the cards we made after mom colored in the pretty flower images.

Back to the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack:  there are a variety of ways to easily add color to your images…

  • color in with Watercolor Pencils
  • sponge colors on with Sponge Daubers
  • Brayer color from ink pad

For mom’s cards, it all started with this card we had made some time ago (supplies are still available in the annual catalog)  Mom wanted this card template

So here is what we came up with the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack

IMG_2264Same basic card template.  The next card was a little different – got to have variety!

The embossing folder is the same design as the flowers in the card pack images.  Flip one page back to page 23 to see the Petal Pair Embossing Folders #145656, and the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper #145589 used in the next card  along with Petal Palette stamps and framelits.

The Petal Passion DSP was brayered or sponged with Calypso Coral ink.  The die cut is out of silver foil.  And I used my Stampin’ Trimmer to trim off sides of sentiment die cut to make it a little narrower to fit.

Order your set today and enjoy coloring while relaxing in front of the TV or sitting waiting in the doctors office…..they you can attach to a card base later and add sentiment you need.

My Stamparatus is Here!!!!  It’s a dream tool!  I love it and I know you will too!

  • Stamparatus comes with 2 magnets to help hold yard stock in place
  • comes with a foam pad to use with photopolymer stamps
  • comes with 2 plates to easily do 2 step stamping
  • to remove or change plates, hold plates at a 90* angle to tool

Stamparatus for Alignment

Place card stock in stamparjtus in top right corner and hold in place with magnets

Next place  stamp on card stock exactly where you want it.

Close plate adhering the stamp to it and then open plate and ink stamp

IMG_2273

Close plate and press slightly on plate to ink has time to transfer to card stock.  When I opened the plate, I saw the stamp was not as dark as I wanted….so just reins and stamp again and voila….it is perfectly stamped over the first and darker as I desired!

Stamparatus for Perfect Placement

One thing I like to do for the inside is stamp an image repeatedly down one side…. so’s here how its done perfectly with the Stamparatus.

  • Place card stock in place with magnets
  • place stamp in desired position
  • close plate and press to adhere stamp
  • open and ink stamp
  • close and press to transfer ink to card stock
  • open plate to 90* position and take out and adjust one slot down for plate
  • reink stamp, close, press gentle to transfer ink
  • open plate and move down one slot
  • ink stamp, close and press to transfer imae
  • continue doing this until you have neat flowers in a row

With photopolymer stamps, use the foam pad to stamp on for best images.

and remember to keep your magnets with your Stamparatus at all times by putting them on the back
