I love having color on my table with vibrant colored flowers! It’s so beautiful so see all the interesting kinds of flowers God made with beautiful colors and textures. An interesting vase can make even the most ordinary flower look enticing too!
My friend, Peggy brought some of the Vibrant Vases cards she has been making to club. I stop and look at the page (pg. 23) each time I flip thru the catalog so I was especially glad Peggy allowed me to share her samples for your inspiration.
Consider sending your friend a card with a Vibrant Vase adorning the front!
Notice that the images…both flower bouquet and vase has 2 photopolymer stamps…one for the outline and one to add the color.
I love how Peggy added a few of the adhesive backed sequins on the flowers! It makes them color alive!
Thank you Peggy for sharing with us!
Another friend, Sara, shared this sweet card she made.
Next is one of the cards to make at Lucille Tatum/Sr. Center card classes this month (February). The butterflies are made by using 2 dies…one for the outline (here I used Basic Black CS) and the underlay in Gorgeous Grape CS.
- use adhesive Sheets #144106 and attach to your card stock before die cutting the butterflies.
- After die cutting, take off the wax paper backing and finish poking out the little pieces with your Take Your Pick tool #144107 – love mine!
- Then hold your butterfly by the wings and center the body of butterfly….now just lay the wings down where they go.
Notice the die on the left cuts out more of the inside of the butterflies and the die on the right, Gorgeous Grape CS, cuts out less of the card stock
Once die cut, they will look like this….you can tell the Basic Black is more of an outline giving definition to the shape of the butterflies.
The Dies cut out 5 butterflies all attached together, but you can cut them apart. In my card, I used only 3 of the butterflies.
I am excited to announce that SLOWLY you will be seeing some changes in my blog. The first, is that now you can just type in http://www.stamptogether.com You will NOT need to put the .wordpress. in any more!
