It’s so much fun to try new ideas, colors, and stamps and dies! That’s what we’ve been doing at our team meeting this past Saturday and this coming Saturday for my team.
So a little sneak peek for those who haven’t seen the NEW ANNUAL STAMPIN’ UP CATALOG yet!
To A Wild Rose is a photopolymer stamp set of 13 stamps and coordinates with Stampin’ Cut & Emboss dies of 8. Here is the first card we made with the set (yes, that is a new In Color….Purple Posy)
Love how the flower is so dimensional with all the colors of texture. And, the die cut in Purple Posy is soooooo fun! I want to put some rhinestones or enamel dots in the center of those die cut flowers too!
- This is a photopolymer stamp so – upside is you can see the stamp, but it is really nice to use a stamparatus.
- Photopolymer stamps definitely do best with our new foam ink pads….but you can’t really “stamp off” to get a lighter color like you can with red rubber and a felt ink pad….so you will want to start with a light color of ink for you solid first stamp
- it is helpful to align your photopolymer stamps with they are clean and even mark them at the same point so you can line them nicely when stamping.
- stamp the solid image first in the lightest color ink, then stamp highlights stamp, and finally the outline image.
