Christmastime is Here Designer Series Paper scraps

Don’t waste a strip of this beautiful paper! It is so rich and elegant! Do you save your pieces like I do? Make a charming background using your scraps with 1/2″ strips of Christmastime is Here DSP.

Here’s how:

secure about 2 1/2″ strips of the DSP with a sticky note to your work area

weave 1/2′ strips of the DSP across…..over and under ….. then the next strip do under and over. Alternate for several more strips of DSP

Next, cut off the ends so that it will fit on to your card front. I cut my ends in random lengths so that it was a little more interesting to look at and I didn’t have to pay attention to exactness…..didn’t want to take the fun out of it!

pull the sticky note up still attached to strips and flip it over to put a little Tombo on the back of your basket weave design.

place on card front and pull off the sticky note and press to attach strips to card front

Nice! Now….what shall we put on as a center focal point???

either of these would be nice….but I really want to see the basket weave background too…..

final decision….go simple and add a few embellishments like the gold enamel dots and gold ribbon.

November Scrapbooking

November was a continuation of October Dinoroar DSP. I had so much fun using it….had to create something this month too!

On this spread, both Hand-Lettered Prose dies #149550 and Large Letters Framelits (Retired) were used for the lettering. Dinasours were cut out of the Dinoroar DSP and popped up with Dimensionals.

Notice the different wide strips of the Designer Series Paper….it stands out a little more by sponging the very edge with Pretty Peacock ink pad and sponge.

And for our 2nd spread…..I had fun with Let it Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper #150393 and the basket weave….

Colors….Pool Party, Real Red, and Flirty Flamingo just sing together! Makes you forget the bitter cold and remember the fun in the snow!
