Masculine card with Timeless Tropical Bundle

Greetings my friends! I hope you all are staying well and not going stir crazy! I am looking forward to seeing you all via Zoom for club meeting!

Before club meeting, I will be sending a link so that you can click the link in the email so you will be with me and everyone else at the same time over our computers. We’ll visit and then you can watch me put together 4 club cards.

To start with…..I wanted to share a masculine card I made with Timeless Tropical Bundle. As soon as I saw this pattern in the Tropical Oasis DSP….it spoke …masculine card! It’s not the typical fishing, hunting, mowing kind of masculine card….but it is so relaxed paradise feel a man can appreciate.

  • Use one of your circle dies from Layering Circles and die cut from Tropical Oasis DSP
  • Cut a strip 5″x 1″ of Soft Sea Foam CS and
  • run through Coastal Weave EF #151503
  • Cut a piece of card base in Pretty Peacock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold
  • on card front stamp palm trees in Pretty Peacock ink to give background some texture and dimension
  • stamp “hello” in Pretty Peacock ink on embossed Soft Sea Foam strip
  • Use Stampin’ Write markers to color in rubber of palm trees
    • trunk – Soft Suede
    • palm branches – first all over Soft Sea Foam, followed by a little Old Olive and finally just a wee bit of Pretty Peacock in the middle of the branches. You may want to swirl these colors with a brush to soften the edges of color
March Scrapbooking

I left these pages on the table and kept adding and adding and adding! I think I had a lot of fun building them….and I don’t even like racing! Here they are using Geared Up Garage Bundle, Urban District – retired, and Timeless Textures for tire tracks – retired. The shine from silver gears wash out the color a little on this photo.

And our next spread is for baby girl….turned out kinda cute! A little washed out in the photo….sorry! Guess I’m going have to learn how to take pictures one of these days.

You may notice in the above 2 pictures, I have used some new rectangle dies….:) oh yes! There are a must for anyone loving a little more embellishment! Coming from a new suite, Ornate Garden, they are available now and will be in the new annual catalog.

Here are some cards Elizabeth and I have been making from the new suite, Ornate Garden. I’ll show you some more next week and you’ll see more at club! 🙂

Guess artists

These are from my friend, Debbie F. She used Beautiful Friendship #149252 for the first 2 cards ( the hello card uses masking technique) and Timeless Tulip Bundle #153793 for the second set of cards. Notice a few Faceted Dots from the In Color collection add a perfect finishing touch #149607 to her cards.
