Stamped Gift ideas continued from team meeting

Last team meeting, 4 of my team demonstrated and showed gift ideas….Stampin’ Up style. Here are more and a few other sample cards from team members and friends. So much to inspire!

If you enjoy stamping and want a little more….like discounts and team meetings every other month, think about joining in January or February during Sale-a-bration 🙂

From: Linda M.

I asked her to show off Menagerie Mix-Up Bundle. It’s on page 67 in the Holiday Catalog. The look like such fun little guys! Here are her creations! I love how she made them glisten with the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper #153513

Don’t they just make you smile?!! They would be so cut to use for birthday favors, on a card, or I totally think sending to someone staying inside with COVID would totally get a chuckle from getting one of these little guys on top of a wrapped piece of chocolate 🙂

Here is the demonstration from Peggy S.

She masterfully created a folder to package a few cards in and as us women love to do – pretty note pads to write todo lists! I’ve been told, if we have smaller note pads to write on, we make smaller todo lists. These make a wonderful gift especially to those who love to send out cards!

The next demonstrator is Brenda B.

Brenda has such a heart for gifts! I know many many times, her thoughtful gifts have brightened my day!!! They aren’t filled with expensive things but they are totally very thoughtfully and fun to receive! Here are some of the ideas she has kept over the years.

I hope they will inspire you to create and spread a little love this season and all year long!

Tea bag holder
Gum Wrapper
Individual Kleenex holder
This sure dates me! It is filled with candy – from way back when! Totally something fun especially for a guy but use new and improved DSP from Stampin’ Up.
  • Take a pop top container – DON’T pop it open!!! But get a can opener like the Pampered Chef kind and open the bottom.
  • Empty out contents and clean and dry
  • Fill can with some favorite candy
  • Glue the bottom back on – you can use Tombo – just allow to set or hot glue
  • Decorate the outside and put a fun label on it.
  • Decide who the fun gift will be shared with 🙂
And my absolute all time favorite!!! A snowman wrapped Hershey Bar

Little Treat Box…all year long! and Christmas gift giving

We have an absolutely awesome team! For this team meeting, we had some of our team demonstrate ideas for gift giving. Cathy did an “over the top” job with the Little Treat Box! She came up with a gift box for each month of the year! Here they are with some of her notes for each one.

Next week tune back in for more gift ideas from Linda and Peggy.

January – Cathy cut one side off and used Snowflake Splendor ribbon. Polar bear is from Warm & Toasty stamp set #152615

February – On back side, cut off scallops and added a heart. On front side, fold down and add a heart. DSP is Peony Garden #152483 on sale this month

March – A pot of gold! Fold all sides down on die cut Basic Black CS Treat Box and use 4 hearts to make a clover

April – An Easter lamb from Menagerie Dies #155179 on In Good Taste DSP #152494, also on sale this month 15% off. Don’t fold sides in all the way and adhere.

May – Flowers for Mother’s Day. Cathy made a Peony from Prized Peony dies #152701 and Peony Garden DSP for the Little Treat Box. Same fold as April. Sides do not come in all the way to score lines and adhere.

June – Just in time for Fathers day; a tool box! Color a candy stick or wooden skewer and insert through scallop sides for a tool box handle. DSP is In Good Taste

July – Firworks! To keep candies aligned, wrap a candy nugget piece with each side of Treat Box to give more stability. Attach a “wick” and star to top of candy. Cut front scallop off. Used Playing with Patterns DSP #152489 (also on sale) on top of Real Red CS to be more stable.

August – Again, fold front side down and attach butterfly on to Forever Greenery DSP #152492 15% off this month! This works well for Birthday with a gift card inside.

September – Notice the “Remember” stamped on the side of velum treat box, this is in memory of 911. Glitter star Ornaments are attached to each scalloped side #153543 and a battery tea light is put inside. The scalloped sides are die cut from In Good Taste DSP #152494 and on sale this month.

October – Pumpkin time! Use Plaid Tidings DSP #153527 15% off this month and cut off all sides and attach a pumpkin punched from Apple Builder Punch #150663

November – Napkin holder and Favor treat box. Use retired punches to make turkey. For Napkin holder, cut off the sides before adhering to a treat box together and just adhere those 2 sides together for napkin ring. Attach a punched pumpkin to embellish napkin ring.

December – make a Little Treat Box with Real Red CS and cut a strip of the White felt to rundown center front. Add punched circles for buttons and either foil or embellishment for buckle. Glimmer paper could also be used for Santa hat.

December – Elegant poinsettia fussy cut form Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper attached to a Little Treat Box die cut from Tis the Season DSP – also on sale this month. And a napkin ring with also made to match. The Beaded pearls add so much to the poinsettia! Makes it pop out as a real flower!

***Note Several of the Little Treat Boxes Cathy made are larger….here’s how she made them bigger…..Use a piece of card stock measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Put die and card stock in die cutting machine and run HALF way through; roll out and TURN and then run HALF way through. You will end up with a larger treat box. It is helpful to score your piece of card stock at 5 1/2 so you have a plum line for the middle of treat box when cutting.

Thank you Cathy!!! Excellent! And below is a shadow box she made too! It is so beautiful in person!!!

Another easy, easy option are the Mini Coffee Carrier with Mini Coffee Cups for a gift of coffee, gift card, and Keurig cups or Hot Chocolate is a sure pleasure on cold winter days.

Warm Wraps Dies #153521 used here with Festive Felt Sheets #153516 and Sweetest Border Dies #153559 with Red Velvet Paper #153490

I’d love to have you on my team too! When you sign up as a Stampin’ Up demonstrator you get 20 – 25% off your purchases under your demonstrator ship. We try to meet every other month to fellowship, get inspired and swap ideas! Think about joining under me. The next perk to sign up will probably be in January.

Grand 2020 Creative Escape

I think we had another fabulous year at Creative Escape! Here are some highlights!

Gifts included a card crate decorated with Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and dies. We die cut the sunflower outline with Brushed Metallic Foil for a rich look.

One of my favorites cards this year! I so love the petal veins that are imprinted with the dies on the poinsettia die cut from Red Velvet paper on page 63 in Holiday catalog.

Another favorite is the Blossoms in Bloom bundle. I’ve done a colorful card and tutorial from this bundle on my blog a few weeks previously. I love the soft look from this card too! Such versatility with this bundle….and the flowers all cut from one die in this card. We fussy cut the small flower although there are 4 single flower dies with the set.

More gifts using the Celebrate Sunflowers. I notebook to organize your stamping products and a coaster stamped, sponged with color, and then sealed with acrylic spay.

We also had a card and several scrapbook spreads using the Prized Peony bundle. It looks overwhelming, but really very simple….4 pieces die cut and sponged and then slip one inside of another and match up notices at bottom.

Alphabet was die cut using the Playful Alphabet in the current annual catalog. I appreciate how there are several dies for the commonly used letters so I just have one pass thru the Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine!

Elizabeth, Camille, and I were so blessed by some surprise gifts too!

Cathy and her team made Elizabeth and Camille a shadow box and I received a special electric scent dispenser….with fireflies on it! You Light Up My Life also!

Paper Pumpkin card from Linda

Thanks for visiting!

Save your tin cans!

That’s right! I have a team member, Gwen, that does some fabulous things with thrown out used tin cans! As my son would say…..go dumpster diving! No, no, better not do that!

Here are a few of the cards Gwen has made.

Using retired die set Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits

You might try substituting with current set, Butterfly Beauty. Not totally sure, but I think Gwen may have used embossing paste and palette knife to make a background and then sponge over with ink pads

Metal die cut seahorse on top of background Whale of a Time DSP from Stampin Up

Here’s Gwen’s secret…..

  • rinse and cut the top and bottom of a tin can*****BE CAREFUL not to cut your fingers
  • cut it down one side so tin will lay flat
  • rinse and dry
  • use whatever die you like to cut out image. If you have an older die cutting machine, you may have to reposition the die and roll through a second or third time……BUT if you have one of the NEW Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machines, you should only have to go through one time….it’s such a nice cut!
  • Remember you can also use your punches on tin too….like for balloons, butterflies, and flowers or try the umbrella punch for a little bright card.

Thank you Gwen! and Sue! Love to look at your cards!

NOW available for order!!! Yeah!!!

  • Wide 6″ (15.2 cm) platform for all your crafting needs.
  • Weighs approximately 8.1 pounds (3.67 kg). Platform folds to make transporting easy and to take up less space when storing.
  • Works with all Stampin’ Cut & Emboss dies and embossing folders.
  • Simple to make a sandwich. Includes plates that are labeled with a number and are color coded for easy use.
  • All the plates you need to get started are included: 1 Base Plate (Plate 1), 1 Die Plate (Plate 2), 2 Cutting Plates (Plate 3), and 1 Specialty Plate (Plate 4). ***The #4 plate replaces the Blue Plate
  • There are larger “feet” that are non skid to help the machine stay in place
  • #150673 $120
Here’s another little technique to try with the stitched dies…..triangles, squares or rectangles
  • die cut a bunch of shapes and adhere them on to a piece of card stock
  • make sure the sides and ends are all together for even stitching look
  • At this point, you can die cut into a shape or embossing with an embossing folder is nice too

This is what Paulette did on a beautiful card

And for your inspiration….pull out your Birds and Branches Bundle
Stampin Up Sunflower dies by Debbie F.

Blossoms In Bloom tutorial with layers of color and texture

You know I love texture…..and what a simple stamp and die bundle to get it quick and easy!

Love the rich layers of color in these flowers! And it’s so easy! here’s how….

  • start with die cutting, one each of the 2 dies in the set.
  • For the wider die, I used a piece of DSP from Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. I think Artistry Blooms would be a fabulous DSP to use too!
  • For the narrow die that makes the outline, I used Pretty Peacock card stock as the color is in the DSP
  • Next, I set up my Stamparatus by inserting a piece of Whisper White card stock cut 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ vertical
  • Place your DSP (the wider die image) on top of the Whisper White CS so you can position the stamp for flower color correctly. Not impossible without Stamparatus….but it’s a breeze with the Stamparatus!
  • lay the CLEAN flower stamp over the die
  • close the lid to adhere stamp to lid and
  • then open and remove the die cut DSP
  • ink and stamp
  • I love texture….so once the inked image of flowers was dry, I embossed with Tasteful Textile 3D ( check it out on page 185 #152718)
  • One added little glimmer, I inked a sponge with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint * yeah! it’s back in the catalog #147044 and then daubed it on the stamp to ink stamp and stamped the center of DSP
  • Now, layer it all together! I used Tombo out of habit, but you could New Adhesive Sheets on page 162 #152334 You get 12 sheets of 6′ x 12″ for $10. ** Place your DSP or card stock on the sheets before you run it through the NEW Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine…..little inside pieces just drop out! It is sooooo nice!!!
  • one last little tidbit…. I die cut both parts of a small flower in Rich Razzleberry ink and stamped a “Thank You”
  • Oops! I forgot to give you the rest of the dimensions!
  • Whisper White CS was 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
  • Granny Apple Green CS 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Rich Razzleberry CS as card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Ink flower in Rich Razzleberry
  • Die cut outline in Pretty Peacock CS
  • Die cut wider flower in Forever Greenery DSP

Here are a couple of cards Elizabeth created too

This one was made with the new Magenta Madness color using 6 x 6 DSP in the In Colors page 150 and Silver Foil die cut with flower outline die. For background of card base, stamp smaller flower in Magenta Madness.

This card just had the outline die cut in Whisper White and then us Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers to color flowers. She also colored 1/4″ Crinkled Whisper White Seam Binding Ribbon with Blends for a variegated look.

Enjoy and be creative! It’s easy with just 2 dies and a stamp!

I love receiving cards from you all! It feeds me too! And adds to my wish list! Here are a few beautiful cards I’ve received lately

Anna’s married!

It was such a beautiful wedding! God blessed with a beautiful day, lovely people to help make it so special, and we are so thrilled to know our Anna has a husband, Daniel, that totally loves God and her!

Instead of the traditional wedding cake, Anna opted for an ice cream truck! I must say, everyone loved the ice cream and the fun of having an ice cream truck!

Sorry, I don’t really have any more pictures. Elizabeth snapped a couple of these and one I got from Mrs. Zellers, Daniel’s mom.

I have a few cards I’ve received this past week to share with you. This first one is from Peggy F. I love the colors and design she made from 3/4″ strips of Flowers for Every Season 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper

And next is a card from Paulette O. Notice also, the strips of DSP for the backdrop of flower. Perfect use of scraps to make something so beautiful!

And a card from Judy P. She combined one of my past favorite Designer Series Papers and the admirable Prized Peony dies. What a winner!

And, got to show you this picture! Pam T. has been helping this young one to make her very first card!!! Good job Pam and Autumn! Makes me smile!

Forever Flourishing adorn you scrapbook spreads

I keep coming back to Forever Greenery DSP! All the greens just sing! I especially love the Pretty Peacock and Shaded Spruce colorations in the Paper. Here’s a look at all the sheets together.

Colors look so much better in real life….but this gives you an idea to scrapbook your special someones.

  • Layering Squares were used for the square matte tiles in Pretty Peacock CS, Just Jade CS, and Forever Greenery DSP
  • Many Medallions die was used in Just Jade CS layered on top of Pretty Peacock going across pages
  • Forever Flourishing Dies were used for leaves in bottom left
  • Tasteful Touches stamp set was used to make background images
  • Joy Dies are used to die cut “Joy” for a dimensional effect with ease

Our other scrapbook spread for August, again, I was back and revisited a Designer Series Paper I have used before, but can’t get enough of….Whale of A Time 6×6 Designer Series Paper.

  • For interest, rhinestones were added to the letters on FUN
  • Love Love how Seabed 3D on vellum has to the ambiance of the beach spread
