Peaceful Poppy Suite May Card Class

Hi Everyone! I hope you are enjoying the sunshine these days! I have totally loved sitting out on our deck last evening and today….yup a few lazy hours! It was good to sit and enjoy the sunshine, birds singing, and colors of green, blue, teal pillows, and red flowers on my deck.

I spent some time inside playing with Peaceful Poppy suite this afternoon too! I know I’ve demonstrated with it for club and made a lot of cards using it but it was calling me back for more lately!

You know the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper is retiring even though the stamps and dies will still be available in the new annual catalog. I would recommend getting an extra package of DSP to continuing using with your Peaceful Poppies Suite for the upcoming year.

Card Class offering for May

There will be another card class to choose from….I’ll post it next week. This week is the Peaceful Poppy Suite Card Class.

You may choose either for $10. Included will be 4 cards with the tutorials and postage to you. If you would rather come in person, I will have 6 spots for you to come to my home on Thursday, May 21st at 1:00pm and 6 spots on Tuesday, May 26th at 1:00pm. As long as you are well, and assuming we are all well (Scott has the month of May with a leave of absence from work), we’ll start small at coming out. I will not attempt to meet with everyone at the Sr. Center or Cramerton until next month just to make sure arrangements will be according with their/state guidelines in June.

If you come to my home to make the cards, you will get to make 6 cards for $10 as you would at the Sr. Center

Cards for inspiration from my friends

from Debbie using new Ornate Garden DSP

Creative Escape 2020

Come join us on a real retreat…..September 25 and 26!

Creative Escape, a crafting retreat, this year will be held at Beech Mountain log cabin rental home. You will choose either 40 cards – Christmas/All Occasion or 20 cards and a 20 page scrapbook to work on. This year, with a little extra time, you should be able to work a little slower or take an afternoon hike. And of course, I am so excited beds for everyone! Some will need to share. Vikki is still planning on coming for massages. And as you see above, I am already planning scrumptious deserts for our desert buffet!

Cost is $300. This is $125 higher that years previous to cover cost of 2 extra meals, valet service hauling things in, and staying at the house. There is also around $50 for product bundle that you will share while at Creative Escape and then take home.

Because of renting the log cabin for Creative Escape this year….I am hoping to have 32 guests! I do not want to charge extra to make sure rental is paid for so invite your friends that like to craft!

So far we have 21 ladies registered! 11 more are able to register….won’t you be one of them?

Also, several have made payments…..to make it easier on the budget, certainly, you may make additional payments. Retreat must be paid in full by the end of August (4 months) and no refunds after August. The product bundles must be paid by the end of Creative Escape. I will offer free shipping on all order through the end of Creative Escape.

Please contact me with questions you may have regarding Creative Escape. We are looking forward to a great retreat this year!

Masculine card with Timeless Tropical Bundle

Greetings my friends! I hope you all are staying well and not going stir crazy! I am looking forward to seeing you all via Zoom for club meeting!

Before club meeting, I will be sending a link so that you can click the link in the email so you will be with me and everyone else at the same time over our computers. We’ll visit and then you can watch me put together 4 club cards.

To start with…..I wanted to share a masculine card I made with Timeless Tropical Bundle. As soon as I saw this pattern in the Tropical Oasis DSP….it spoke …masculine card! It’s not the typical fishing, hunting, mowing kind of masculine card….but it is so relaxed paradise feel a man can appreciate.

  • Use one of your circle dies from Layering Circles and die cut from Tropical Oasis DSP
  • Cut a strip 5″x 1″ of Soft Sea Foam CS and
  • run through Coastal Weave EF #151503
  • Cut a piece of card base in Pretty Peacock 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold
  • on card front stamp palm trees in Pretty Peacock ink to give background some texture and dimension
  • stamp “hello” in Pretty Peacock ink on embossed Soft Sea Foam strip
  • Use Stampin’ Write markers to color in rubber of palm trees
    • trunk – Soft Suede
    • palm branches – first all over Soft Sea Foam, followed by a little Old Olive and finally just a wee bit of Pretty Peacock in the middle of the branches. You may want to swirl these colors with a brush to soften the edges of color
March Scrapbooking

I left these pages on the table and kept adding and adding and adding! I think I had a lot of fun building them….and I don’t even like racing! Here they are using Geared Up Garage Bundle, Urban District – retired, and Timeless Textures for tire tracks – retired. The shine from silver gears wash out the color a little on this photo.

And our next spread is for baby girl….turned out kinda cute! A little washed out in the photo….sorry! Guess I’m going have to learn how to take pictures one of these days.

You may notice in the above 2 pictures, I have used some new rectangle dies….:) oh yes! There are a must for anyone loving a little more embellishment! Coming from a new suite, Ornate Garden, they are available now and will be in the new annual catalog.

Here are some cards Elizabeth and I have been making from the new suite, Ornate Garden. I’ll show you some more next week and you’ll see more at club! πŸ™‚

Guess artists

These are from my friend, Debbie F. She used Beautiful Friendship #149252 for the first 2 cards ( the hello card uses masking technique) and Timeless Tulip Bundle #153793 for the second set of cards. Notice a few Faceted Dots from the In Color collection add a perfect finishing touch #149607 to her cards.

April Stamping Schedule

I am planning to have clubs at appointed times with a program on the computer where we can all meet and talk. I will announce that with an email to each club. At the club meeting, I will show you and make 4 cards for you. I will then send the card stock cut for you to make 2 of the cards.

Please understand…..You may order whatever you would like to order!!! I have no requirements other than the norm at club. I will be demonstrating with 2 different bundles as normal…but, there will be 2 cards for each bundle. I am not allowed to stamp/die cut for you to put together per Stampin’ Up rules. I will send you the card stock for your preference of 2 card grouping and you can order the supplies for your club order or substitute with supplies you already have if you order something different for your club order. I will also make sure you have a video you can go back and look at again of the 4 cards once you receive your supplies.

I am suggesting, that I direct ship to you so you will receive your products and not have to come in contact with anyone. The shipping is a flat $6.95 if under $69.50 or the normal 10% (club shipping price) if over $69.50. I am will to help with shipping…it’s no ones fault with circumstances.
